Stamping Nail: Born Pretty

Can I just say, whilst Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On is an okay stamping polish, it's not the best.  The houndstooth print on my middle nail is not quite as white as the picture in real life, sadly!

So I must ask, which white stamping polish do you use?  I don't own any of the Konad polishes, and sadly neglected to order a white last time I ordered from Mundo De Unas!

For this manicure I started with my base -of-the-moment Essie Grow Faster.  Afrter applying this, I used  three coats of OPI Mod About You and sealed with Glisten&Glow HK Girl.

The stamping plates are both from, QA40 for the cat and QA81 for the houndstooth.  There are a variety of cat pictures on QA40, along with some feathers.  On QA81 you'll find a few different houndstooth-esque prints along with a swirl, some flowers, and what looks a little like a dragonfly with extra wings.  It's always so fascinating what comes out on a stamping plate, sometimes the images seem so unrelated and random!

I stamped with Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear White On for the houndstooth, using my Messy Mansion squishy stamper.  For the kitty-cat, I picked up the image in Ulta3 Black Satin, and waited for it to dry on the stamper.  I then painted the white onto the stamper using the same Sally Hansen polish with my tiny nail art brush, and the grey is Ulta3's Earl Grey.  Once dry, I applied a coat of HK Girl to the stamper and waited for it to dry too.

Once the polish was totally dry on my stamper, I peeled it off and positioned on my own nail.  Seal with another coat of HK Girl and I'm good to go!

Have you made one of these stamper decals before?  I'd love to see your pictures!
