Nail Art: Freehand Stripes & Print

It's almost Christmassy, right?

I was inspired for this mani by a picture doing the rounds on pinterest - it's not watermarked though, and I've no idea how to find the original poster!  Hers was a beautiful mani, and I kinda like mine!

I used so many colours in this one, some great, some not so...

I used my basecoat OPI Nail Envy, which I have no qualms about!  Followed by two coats of My Boyfriend Scales Walls on my thumb, middle and ring fingers.  Now, here's the not so great - I used six, yes six, coats of Natio's Ruby and can still see some VNL in certain light.  I'm so sad, I bought this beautiful red jelly a few years ago and I don't remember it being so troublesome!

Almost a dupe, but with a better formula, I used Ulta3's Pepper Pot for the red stripes on my ring finger.  The brown is OPI How Great Is Your Dane? and the gold is Love.Angel.Music.Baby.  The nude is Essence Dare It Nude.

For the animal print I used Love.Angel.Music.Baby and How Great Is Your Dane?  All the nail art is free handed this time, with the exception of one stripe that I taped as a guide.  Everything is topped, as usual, with a coat of Glisten&Glow HK Girl.

What does your Christmas manicure look like?
